I’m a sucker for good fashion and great beauty tips! I always love a good bargain when shopping and love anything I can learn about skincare, makeup, and just knowing how to take care of myself!

I truly believe beauty comes from within, but sometimes it’s so much easier to say it than really think it. Like many other women I’m always trying to find ways that will help me feel beautiful, and I don’t think there is anything wrong with that- I mean, you have to feel confident in your own skin for that beauty to shine from within!

I love this time of year; the crisp air, the leaves changing colors, and the fall fashion! I love the hats, the boots, the jackets, and the scarves! Isn’t that funny? I look forward to this time of year partly for my wardrobe, but I know that I’m not alone!

This dress is darling. It is so feminine and flirty. I love the pleats in the bottom half of the dress, and the leather detailing on the the shoulders. I think this dress would be adorable with some dark tights or knee highs and boots!

I’m absolutely loving this black dress. Flattering, comfortable, and simple! You can dress this  one up or down, and accessorize in several different ways. I loved this dress with my favorite pair of fall boots, and it worked perfectly with my “go-to” leather jacket for the season!

I LOVE BLUE and I LOVE BELTS!!! I LOVE this DRESS!! Such a comfortable dress, really “cozy” actually. Almost like wearing sweats out for girls night, but you actually got dressed! I’ll be the first to admit that I prefer comfort over anything when I’m getting dressed. I added a brown belt to add shape and a little “pop”! This dress looks great with nude/tan heels or some fall boots.

I’m in love with this dress. I can’t wait to wear it again. I know you can’t really see it in this picture, but you’ll just have to believe me. This dress is so dainty and sweet, but of course sexy with the Polka-dots and all! I of course paired with a belt, a vintage looking brown leather belt and added some tan round toed pumps to step it up. I think there are so many different ways to wear this dress, and like I said, I cannot wait to wear it again!

I LOVE rompers and the color green! This is the perfect fall look especially for someone that lives in a warmer area. The color and sleeves on this say Fall/Winter but is also light for a warm day. On a chillier day I would add some fun tights underneath and even pair with some boots! The day this picture was taken it was a hot day in sunny California, but I wanted more than anything to feel like it was fall, the romper thankfully helped!

FASHION AT THE RACES…

Every summer the Del Mar Horse racing season begins, kicking it off with “Opening Day”. People come from all over to Del Mar (in San Diego County) to attend this big day of flashy dresses and big hats… oh, and horses! The day is a pretty big deal… actually, really big deal! I started planning my Opening Day outfit probably a month in advance, but I bet you that is nothing to what most of the women put into what they will be wearing. I mean, really, you should see the hats and the rest of the ensemble on some of these women!

This year was my second year attending the Opening Day festivities, I chose a coral dress, gold open toed heels, and a simple black hat with accessories to bring the look together! The accessories were really my favorite part, so I thought I’d share them with you!

I felt like a supermodel for a day when I recently spent a day with The Boudoir Divas in San Diego! I spent a whole day with these ladies starting my morning in hair and makeup getting all dolled up with their fabulous hair and makeup girl, Peggy! I felt incredible, but then they took me to their super cute dressing room full of plenty of options to play dress up! We picked out a few looks and then spent the rest of the day taking pictures in their 4,500 square foot studio! I’m not lying when I said I felt like a supermodel! It was such an amazing

experience and incredibly freeing!

I have to admit, when I first planned my photo shoot, I was a little intimidated by the name, Boudoir Divas. I imagined bras and panties and wasn’t feeling to comfortable with that idea, so I even called ahead of time and asked for more conservative looks. The girls totally understood and catered to my desires. I felt comfortable and beautiful the whole day!

Behind the Scenes of 31Bits Elasticity Photo Shoot

I had the pleasure of working with one of my favorite organizations, 31Bits on a campaign they did for their Elasticity Jewelry. This photo shoot was very special to me because of the women behind 31Bits and their hearts of their mission behind their organization. These ladies are doing some very big things and making a huge difference for women in Uganda, but also on the hearts they sale their jewelry to. I know for myself, that every time I wear 31Bits I feel empowered and excited to keep “paying it forward” and making a difference in my community and around the world!

The day of the photo shoot was a complete blast! The girls had champagne and gummy bears on set to kick off the shoot! Which by the way, is my favorite combination! They had a hair & makeup artist along with a fabulous stylist, Summer Watkins that all worked together to create a very natural and “beachy” look, which I totally loved! It’s so much fun to play dress up too, and the environment that was created for the day made it even easier for me to get in front of the camera! One of the greatest pleasures was working with the very talented photographer, Trever Hoehne. He absolutely knows how to capture a vision and his work is truly his art! Working with all of the talented, creative, and passionate people was such an honor! I hope to work with this whole crew again soon!
